Overnight Care

Giving you comfort and peace of mind overnight, at home

Overnight home care and night carers at home

Our overnight care service is there to provide you with that extra level of reassurance, and allows you or your loved one to be looked after in your own home overnight by professional carers. Our carers will assist with physical, mental and emotional needs, so that you can sleep at night knowing you or your loved one is being well cared for. It also perhaps means avoiding being dependent on contacting loved ones at night.

Is This You?

Are you concerned for a loved ones’ wellbeing, especially in terms of your loved one not being able to have a good night’s rest? They may have a health condition that is preventing them from resting properly at night. This could be purely physical, such as being prone to falls or requiring medication or a mental health condition like dementia that may involve your loved one waking up confused, frightened, or upset.

This situation can also make you have sleepless nights worrying if they are getting the care they require to be comfortable and get as much sleep as possible during the night.

Or perhaps your relative has a complex health condition and needs continuous care. Alternatively, they may just need a little help and  support if they take a trip to the bathroom.

Ultimately, you need reassurance that someone is there to help if needed. Eaton Home Care has in-depth experience and skills in 24-hour care in Cambridgeshire and will create a tailored support plan.

Now, when nighttime comes, you can get more of the sleep you deserve with an extra layer of reassurance from our overnight care team.

Overnight Care for the Elderly

We are proud of the  high standards. Our overnight care workers provide as they  are highly trained and fully vetted to deliver your best care before they join us.

Plus, they will always have at least 12 months’ care experience and undertake an enhanced DBS check annually. As well as bimonthly supervisions, and an annual appraisal, they each undergo ongoing professional development to keep their abilities and skills up to speed.

Eaton Home Care will carefully match a carer to your needs, with an understanding that what we offer must take care of their physical and emotional requirements. After all, they are in your  home and, with kindness and compassion, will always respect your  comfort, dignity, and privacy.

There will, of course, be an in-depth assessment and ongoing real-time reporting and updates available via our client management system.

Overnight Care: How it Works

Generally, a carer will arrive between  8 and 10 pm and stay either 8, 10 or 12 hours.

Sleeping Night Care. Your carer will help your loved one get ready for bed, sleep at the property overnight and help them get washed and dressed in the morning. They will also be on hand during that time should their services be needed. This may be for an emergency or to offer comfort and companionship.

Waking Night Care. Your carer will stay awake, offering proactive support – perhaps to address more complicated needs for continuous care until the morning. This includes administering medication and mobility support. With a waking night care worker, the carer will quietly take care of household tasks while you sleep.

The Benefits of Overnight Care

On hand all night

Our dedicated night time care services offer a carer to assist you with everything from the administering of medication, trips to the toilet, drinks, and mobility within the home, as well as being on hand to provide reassurance and assistance in case of an unexpected emergency.

There when you need us

We can also help should you need help changing position in bed, raising you up to help with breathing, or generally helping to ensure a good night’s rest.

Our carers are also happy to undertake other tasks for you, such as domestic duties including laundry and cleaning etc. They will respect your privacy but are close at hand in case you need them.

What are the different types of overnight care available to you?

We offer two services of overnight care; sleeping night care and waking night care, depending on your needs.

Your carer will sleep at your home, but is on hand to help all night should their services be required. They will assist you with getting ready for bed as well as helping you to get up in the morning, but they will also be available throughout the night should an emergency arise, or if you require companionship for general comfort.

Your carer will stay awake so that they can offer proactive support throughout the night. This service provides assistance for complex needs and means that you will receive continuous care until morning. Our carers are on hand to support you with anything you require to be as comfortable as possible including the administering of medicine and mobility support.
