Some care options can be expensive, but there are options available to you to help with the cost, or to choose a more affordable route. You may be eligible for your care to be funded in full or part by your local authority, depending on the circumstances.

Self-Funding - A bespoke care plan just for you

At Eaton we currently only offer homecare for those self-funding. Our nurse-led team will develop a full care needs assessment to create an agreed plan of care for you. All our clients have their needs and plans reviewed by Eaton on an on-going basis. Together, we create a bespoke support plan for you, upon which your costs will be based. Our care fees are fixed and all-inclusive without added extras (unlike some other providers). Respite support can also be provided when capacity allows – as part of the general enquiry process, we will confirm within 24hours whether we can support a short-term need.

Payment Options

Our transparent payment options will help you budget.

  • We will provide a weekly statement of your fees, weekly in arrears
  • The fees are payable monthly, by direct debit (unless otherwise agreed)
  • All payments are to be paid within 14 days of the date of the statement

We review and increase our fees on an annual basis, or at any other time, if:

  • There is a change in the support you require.
  • A change to support is required to comply with any applicable safety, regulatory or statutory requirements.
  • You will be consulted about any changes in fees

Local authority support for homecare

If you need support with day-to-day tasks, your local authority might be able to help with the costs of care. You should first consider a needs assessment before arranging care. This will help you decide on the level of care needed, and understand what is the best type of care for you.

If an assessment confirms that you need help, funding support available varies depending on where you live, but it may also limit where and how you receive your care.

Financial Advice

If you are concerned about financing your support, Eaton can help you to find out what financial support you may be able to get.

If you are considering releasing equity from your property or need any other financial advice, you should speak to an independent financial advisor. These are the only people licensed in the UK to give such advice.

If you need help, Eaton would be happy to introduce you to an independent financial advisor, at no cost, or to point you in the right direction towards finding your own.

You may also be entitled to other benefits such as,

Attendance allowance – if you are over 65 and need extra help to stay independent at home due to an illness or disability.

Personal Independence Payment – if you are aged 16-64 and need help with daily activities or getting around because of a long-term illness or disability.

For further advice, you can contact your local council or give us a ring if you have any more questions.
