Pet care: feeding and looking after your pet. One less thing to think about, and of course, you can keep your animal best friend with you at home.
Food and nutrition: preparing food and drinks, ensuring you stay hydrated, shopping lists and purchasing groceries. Your carer will know what you most like and can eat with you if you prefer.
Companionship: Friendship, support, and good company when needed. Your carer will also be pleased to take you to visit friends and family – or, just to enjoy some much-deserved fresh air or sunshine.
Keeping in touch: Arranging or reminding you to stay connected with family and friends. Accompany you to social clubs and help you to attend or arrange your appointments and with your shopping.
What To Expect with Live-In Care
Someone caring – in your home. In an everyday sense, you will have another person staying in your home, sleeping in another bedroom or your spare room.
We have organised this in many different ways. The importance of having a carer on-hand, while being able to keep you or your loved one in their own home and familiar surroundings may require preparing a separate room for the carers own space. This is so that they can give you the space you need to live your life while having their own space to rest and take breaks when they can.
Making space. Your carer will need space to store their belongings, toiletries, and their food in your fridge. As well as cooking your meals and helping with the day to day running of your house, they will be preparing their own meals, too. We always encourage our carers to eat together with the client making it a social experience but if you prefer to eat alone that’s absolutely fine too.
Round the clock care. If you need regular support during the night you may need to consider adding our overnight care service. 24/7 care is for those where there may be two carers involved, to ensure that you are safe, happy, and secure in your own home. You may have one carer living with you as your live in care worker and then the night carer will support you while the day care worker sleeps.
Different Pricing Structures. Be aware that costs will vary depending on the number of hours a person care for you, as well as how long they are on stand-by.
