Companion Care

We all know that exercise, proper nutrition and getting enough sleep help us stay healthy as we age. Social interaction is also one of the most important aspects of living a long, healthy life.

Helping to keep friendships alive

Throughout your life, you or your loved one interact with people every day – people like work colleagues, friends and family members. However, regular opportunities for social engagement often decrease, as you get older, retire from your career, your family may move away and those you love pass away. Eventually, there is the possibility of becoming increasingly housebound through losing the ability to drive, or as a result of illness.

Meaningful connections

Elderly people who live alone often experience social isolation and feelings of loneliness, which can have a significant impact on your health. Companionship has a key role in your or your loved one’s life, not just because companions can provide help with household tasks and personal care, but also because they provide you with a meaningful human connection that greatly improves the quality of your life.

We take the time to understand you

At Eaton Home Care all of our services have an element of companion care, part of which is to accompany you on trips out to social appointments (within your capabilities), encouraging you to meet new people or perhaps rekindle old friendships. Our team will take the time to understand your or your loved one’s social networks and interests, and encourage you to maintain and add to them, where possible.
