Providing a first-class service

We only accept the best in everything we do. These high standards apply to the quality of our bespoke service; our staff and their training; the quality of third-party suppliers we use; and most of all, our interaction with you.

National regulations

Eaton Home Care is registered with and regulated by the Care Quality Commission.

We work strictly to the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated activities) Regulations 2014 (as amended) and the Care Quality Commission (Registration) Regulations 2009 (Part 4) (as amended).

This is the legal basis on which we operate and the standards contained below are used by Eaton Home Care as a minimum standard. Our aim is to go over and above what is expected of us.

Exceeding expectations

We are constantly seeking new ways to drive improvement in the quality and safety of the services we provide to you, as well as the experience of people who use our service. Under the guidance of our qualified nurse and Director of Operations, Caroline Freeman, we ensure that we have effective governance which provides assurances in our auditing systems and processes.

Mitigating risks

Our systems monitor and mitigate any risks relating to your health, safety and welfare and are continually evaluated as we constantly seek to improve our governance and auditing practice. This compliments the detailed records we maintain of everyone who uses our services.

Staff training

At Eaton Home Care, we believe in ‘blended learning’, combining media, and technology in the classroom and out in the field. To us, this is the most effective method of delivering support worker training and ensures we succeed in supporting our staff to get the most from their learning. We have invested in a state-of-the-art training facility, The Stirling Academy, which is located at our Cambridge headquarters. It is here that we can train our staff, ensuring the knowledge they receive reflects our very high standards.

Upholding standards

We’ve also invested in the latest equipment to assist our care professionals in achieving the highest standards, from administering medication and cooking healthy and nutritious meals to safely using hoists.

We work with our carefully selected team members to create an individual learning plan that caters not only to their own level of training, but also to the level required to uphold the Eaton standards, including successful completion of all parts of the Care Certificate, recognised by the Care Quality Commission.

Quality

Like all care and support providers, Eaton Home Care is registered with and inspected by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). However, we strive for our standards to be over and above the level of care that is expected of us.

Mitigating risks

You are not just a statistic to us. We care about what you think. As such, we carry out our own quality assurance measurement, asking for and listening to your views, which will help us change and adapt the service we provide. Where necessary, action will be taken swiftly and you will be involved every step of the way.

When the CQC inspects us, which they do regularly, they may ask to speak to you to find out what you think of our service.

Accountability

It is a legal requirement that we keep confidential, detailed records about each of our clients, which, with your consent, can be accessed by elected family members, 24/7. It is all part of delivering a thoroughly accountable and transparent service.

Data protection

At Eaton Home Care, each support worker has their own, hand-held device, such as a phone or tablet, upon which to record details about tasks carried out, your health, medicine, nutrition, trips on and so forth. We take data protection very seriously, so all of your information is secure and password protected, which means that you don’t have to worry about anyone else seeing it, unless you give your permission for them to do so.
